Cornish Medics responding to dolphin at Praa Sands

After extensive search of area today, no trace of the dolphin(s) at all.

20.40hrs: Medics now leaving the site as fully dark and unable to trace dolphin. Tide also on its way out. Medics to check back at the beach later tonight and at first light.

20.15hrs: large team of medics now observing the single dolphin which is very close inshore in the large surf at the south end of Praa Sands. Just too far out to safely assess due to the dangerous surf. More soon.

18.45hrs: Medics from Cornwall are on their way to Praa Sands where a 'dolphin' is reportedly in trouble just off the shore. It has been described by a member of the public as 'bigger than a human'.
