Third Fulmar rescue in two months!

Rescued FulmarBoddin Point Lime Kiln is a former industrial lime kiln and salmon fishing station near Montrose. It's a hot spot for Fulmars and this is the third bird I have been called out to that has been trapped inside the kiln. This means absailing down the side of the kiln which dates back to the 1700s and has seen better days! I seem to be lucky at the moment, none of the birds seem to have been trapped for long as they all readily return to the sea. If they are trapped for longer than a few days they are disorientated when released and wander around for a few minutes before taking to the air. Not so with the last few birds, including this one, which couldn't wait to take off. I was also grateful to this bird which did not try to tear my fingers off!
