Bridlington Bank Holiday Fundraiser

Fundraising day in BridlingtonI was asked by Liam, the then Mayor of Bridlington, if we would like to take part in the Lifeboat Pull day on May bank Holiday. I was assisted by Marlene,Bruce Dave and Chris. We started the procession from the Coast guard station North Side Bridlington and drove through town ending up at the inshore Lifeboat station on South side.

The weather was good(unusual for a Bank Holiday) and Brid was busy so Dave and Bruce did stirling work rattling buckets as we walked through town(well they walked, I drove!!) Mind you it was windy and we have had a gazebo donated. Trust me wind from the east and a Gazebo do not mix as Marlene can testify chasing it down the promenade!

We had a stall on the promenade and we generated a lot of interest from the public many of them did not even know we existed (maybe we could do with a publicity drive seeing we are celebrating our 21st anniversary this year).

We raised £129 pounds selling merchandise and donations so a big THANK YOU to one and all.

We have been invited back to Bridlington Life boat day in July so we will do it all again .Again a thank you to the team who gave up their bank holiday to help, we are getting good at this fund raising malarkey!
