Trevor's farewell dinner

Alan Knight OBE and Trevor WeeksTrevor Weeks left BDMLR at the end of July and is now devoting much of his time to the Wildlife Rescue Ambulance Service which is the charity he formed many years ago.

Local medics and three directors of BDMLR took Trevor out for a meal and presented him with a certificate thanking him for his 'major contribution to the rescue of marine animals'.

Trevor first became involved with BDMLR in 1996 when he helped to rescue oiled birds from the Sea Empress oil disaster in Wales. He rose through the ranks to become the first ever Advanced medic and also BDMLR's national coordinator. Trevor has been instrumental in the training of medics and has had a major input to the training handbook and the lectures.

I have no doubt that Trevor will remain an energetic medic for many years to come and his input in future years will be much appreciated.
