Marathon man Justin hits £1,000!!

Marathon runner Justin has hit his target of £1,000 for BDMLR and sponsorship is still rolling in - there's still time for more donations!

Justin Duerden, although not yet a BDMLR medic, was so impressed by reading reports of what we do that he'll be running the 2013 London Marathon on April 21st to raise funds for the charity.

Here's what he says:

"I have been accepted to do the Virgin London Marathon 2013 in hope that I would be able to raise a significant amount of funds for BDMLR. With your help, we can continue to support the work of BDMLR to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine wildlife. Your donations will go towards things like buying rescue equipment such as handheld radios for medics to communicate effectively or blood testing kits that can be used by vets out on the beachOur 2013 plan besides raising money through the London Marathon, is to get involved in on-site rescues and participate in BDMLR events, raising awareness about the importance of saving and rehabilitating stranded ceteceans along the coasts of the UK."

You can sponsor Justin to urge him on via his JustGiving page here. Many thanks to those of you who do.

Many, many thanks also to Justin - all the best of luck for Sunday!
