Justin completes marathon for BDMLR

Congratulations are due to marathon runner Justin Duerden, who completed this year's London Marathon to raise funds for BDMLR.

Having been in training for months, Justin, who has yet to become a BDMLR Marine Mammal Medic, has to date raised nearly £1,200 and donations are still coming in.

After the marathon, Justin said, "Well I can honestly say that is the hardest thing I have done in my life! Didn't get the time that I wanted as I kept cramping up from mile 10 onwards, however I am very proud I got under 4 hrs coming in at 3hr 56 minutes and Richard Branson was kind enough to congratulate me at the finish!

Thank you all who supported my cause, if you didn't sponsor me I am hoping you went on my JustGiving page and are all more aware of British Divers Marine Life Rescue. I thoroughly recommend a swim and steam room after a long run, it's seems to have helped my muscles greatly. I am now going to go and eat a huge meal and might even have a couple of beers as well. Thanks all!".

Many, many thanks again to Justin and his sponsors who have who have been so generous. If you would like to donate as well, you can still do so on Justin's JustGiving page here.
