With the early arrival of severe storms hitting South West England this Autumn, volunteer BDMLR Marine Mammal Medics have been exceptionally busy responding to callouts to newborn seal pups in trouble around the local coastline.
Many of these pups are just days old and suffering from starvation, exhaustion and various injuries after being prematurely separated from their mothers in the rough seas, and a lot of equipment is used by our volunteers to assess and treat them when out on the beach.
Please help our volunteer rescuers stay well equipped and able to respond to emergencies by sending us an item from our Christmas wishlist on Amazon by clicking here and supporting our rescue work. Thank you.
